This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit sherwoodlumber.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, the cookies and tracking technologies we use, and the choices and rights you have — including specific rights for California residents.

Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form on the Site — for example our contact form, “Become a New Customer” form, sales-rep connection forms, product-specific inquiry forms (Kleer, Acre, RDI, and others), or our email subscribe form — we collect the information you enter. This typically includes your name, email address, company name, mailing address, state/ZIP, the role you select (homeowner, builder, contractor, architect, installer, or other), and any comments or message content you submit.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4), including:

  • Your IP address and general location derived from it (such as state, city, or region)
  • Device and browser identifiers and characteristics (browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language settings)
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, time spent, and other usage and interaction data
  • Date and time of your visit and similar log information

Information from third parties. We may receive information about your interactions with our content on third-party platforms (for example, our social media pages on X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube) in accordance with those platforms’ policies.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and connect you with the appropriate sales representative
  • Process and follow up on new-customer and product requests
  • Send you marketing and promotional communications you have requested, including our email list and product update lists (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
  • Measure and analyze Site traffic, usage, and performance
  • Understand which content and products are of interest, and improve our marketing
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and analytics scripts) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support our marketing.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information including your IP address and device/usage data. Information about Google’s practices is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising and social technologies. We may use advertising and social-media technologies — for example, [Meta/Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag] — that allow these partners to receive information about your visit for measurement and advertising purposes.

Your cookie choices. When you arrive on the Site, our consent banner lets you Reject All, Accept Some, or Accept All non-essential cookies and tracking technologies. Non-essential technologies (including analytics and advertising) are configured not to load until you provide consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the consent banner.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser and device.

Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share personal information as follows:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us, such as website hosting, form processing, email/marketing delivery, and analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing those services.
  • Analytics and advertising partners. With analytics and advertising technology providers as described in Section 4. Some of this activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law because it involves disclosing identifiers and online activity to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or analytics. See your rights in Section 6.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sherwood Lumber, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

6. Your California privacy rights
